Lube is a liquid substance that you use in order to have your penis, a sex toy or a finger slide in more easily (into the vagina or anus). It provides a wonderfully sensual experience and prevents pain. It's not exactly considered hip and that's too bad. After all, lube increases enjoyment and pleasure during sex! How do you use lube?
There may already be some lube on a condom. In that case, you don't necessarily need extra lube. Using lube from a bottle or tube? Open the packaging and carefully run a bit of the lube over the penis or in the vagina/anus. Using your fingers, you can also carefully rub the lube into and around the vagina/anus. Please note: for both vaginal and anal sex, make sure that you always rub the lube into and around the vagina before you rub it into the anus. This prevents intestinal bacteria from ending up in the vagina and causing a bladder infection.
Anal lube

Water-based lubricant
A water-based lubricant is usually recommended if you're using a sex toy or the like. This lubricant does not affect silicone or latex and is therefore broadly “deployable". Water-based lube dries out somewhat more quickly, but is nonetheless cheap!
Lubricants based on silicone
A silicone lubricant is slightly thicker and often somewhat softer. It feels great and you don't need to use much. The disadvantages? It's slightly more expensive and a lubricant based on silicone does not go well with sex toys. So take this into account.
